Infant Thanksgiving

Although we practice ‘believer’s baptism’ and therefore do not baptise infants, children are important to us.  It is our practice to mark the birth of a child with a service which celebrates and gives thanks to God for the safe birth and life of the infant and to ask God’s blessing on the child.  The service also offers the parents the opportunity to commit themselves to the nurture and protection of their son and daughter, and for us as a church community to commit ourselves to stand with and support the whole family.
