Welcome to the Winchmore Hill Baptist Church (WHBC) website.
WHBC has a long history, going back over 350 years. We have been worshipping in our current building in Winchmore Hill, in the London Borough of Enfield, since 1907.
Today we are a group of ordinary people of all ages and from all types of background who
are seeking to follow Jesus Christ together and to share in God’s mission in God’s world.
If you are simply trying to find a way to scratch a spiritual itch or are already a committed Christian there is a place for you to journey with us.
If you would like to know more, have a look around our website or even better pop in and
join us one Sunday.
We do hope to have the chance to meet you in person.
Pentecost Novena: Conversations at the Crossroads
Jesus Christ calls every person to follow him. As Christians it’s our duty and joy to share that invitation. That’s why the Archbishops of Canterbury and York are inviting every church in England to join a week of prayer this Pentecost, from 8-15th May.
Do join us as we respond to that call.
You can download the Novena devotions at the Diocese of Canterbury website along with orders for daily prayer and other resources.
Our special Pentecost 2016 page gives details of when we meet together to pray the Novena.
Finally, do join us on Saturday 14th May as we bring the nine days of prayer to a close by joining with other Christians in Palmers Green and Winchmore Hill for an ecumenical Pentecost service.

The Sunday Service is the time the whole church family come together to worship God. Our worship begins at 10.30 a.m. and generally finishes between 11.45 a.m. and 12 noon.
Children and young people join us for the first part of the service before going to their own activities. There is also a crèche for the very young.
Once a month, usually on the third Sunday, we celebrate communion together.
After the service many people stay behind for refreshments and a chance to chat.
You can find more information about our services on our worship page.
Each year we prepare an Annual Report outlining the Church's activities during the year.
The report for our activities in 2015, including the accounts, can be found by clicking the button below.
